With nearly three decades of coaching experience and a background as a high-level collegiate pitcher, Coach Mike Callihan is one of the most trusted pitching instructors in the region. A former standout at Wabash Valley College and Quincy University, Mike was selected to the NJCAA All-Star Game and pitched with a level of consistency and toughness that now defines his coaching style.

Over the past 29 years, Coach Callihan has worked with players ages 5 to 24, developing pitchers at every level of the game. As an active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), he blends classic pitching fundamentals with a focus on mental strength, confidence, and character.

“I believe in my players. I want them to know it’s okay to make mistakes—and I want them to hustle, have fun, and play with confidence.”

Mike’s approach to coaching is grounded in respect for the game and a belief that development happens when players are allowed to grow, fail, and push themselves without fear. He focuses not only on mechanics and pitch development, but also on building a mindset that can handle adversity on the mound.
